手术和药物哪个治疗癫痫更好?

对于每个病人来说，最大的愿望无疑就是希望自己尽早地摆脱掉病痛的折磨，能够恢复到健康的状态。为此，很多患者在治疗过程中，通过互联网、广告、杂志等四处打听有没有好的治疗方法，其中不免有一些医骗，抓住了患者急于看病的心理，招摇撞骗，不仅不能帮助病人恢复，还延误了病情的治疗时机，使病情更加顽固。目前临床用于治疗癫痫较为常见的方法是药物治疗以及手术治疗，那么哪种方法治疗的效果更好呢?

如果想要尽早地恢复，那是不是手术治疗更快一些呢? 要想判断这两种方法哪种好，就要对两种方法进行详细的对比，充分了解其优势及劣势后才能判断。首先是手术治疗。手术治疗的优点在于，针对难治性的癫痫患者，例如长期通过药物治疗且保证用药准确，药量达标的前提下，依然不能够控制发作的患者。

一般手术切除病灶部位后，都能够恢复或明显减少患者的发作次数。但是手术必然存在一定的风险性，能够达到手术要求的患者也不多，而且手术后可能会有一些后遗症出现，因此受众患者较少。 而药物治疗是临床用于治疗癫痫最为常见的方法，优点很多。

其一，受众人群广，无论患者是男女老幼，都能通过服用药物进行治疗;其二，风险性低，所有用于临床的抗癫痫药物都是通过科学实验后，确定可以治疗癫痫病且在正常剂量范围内，对人体没有特别大的危害后才可用于临床治疗;其三，一般的患者通过对症的药物治疗，恢复的效果都不错。 但药物治疗也有一些缺点。

例如，药物治疗的周期长，患者需要长期配合服药，且药物多少会存在一定的毒副作用，长期服药可能会损伤患者的肝肾功能，最重要的是，针对难治性的患者，药物治疗效果甚微。因此药物治疗和手术治疗没有哪个方法更好的说法，只有更适合患者的方法，两者之间更多的是相辅相成的关系。
