首先的一点是要进行颅脑磁共振检查，看看有没有颅内的器质性的病变，比如颅内的肿瘤以及血管畸形、血管瘤等都是可以引起羊癫风的。如果是没有发现器质性的疾病，那考虑是原发性羊癫风，主要是应用抗羊癫风药物控制。也有一些用药后仍然好几次的发作，这样的话可以考虑通过手术切除羊癫风灶。
