四、在月经周期的过程中，增加了癫痫发作：多年的临床经验证实，发作频率在月经期时常增多，这个特征性的表现，是由于此时雌激素/孕激素的比值较高所致(正在月经前期、月经期中和排卵期)。雌激素可以诱发海马神经元的结构和功能发生变化，增加了癫痫发作的易感性。
