2、饮食治疗：主要指生酮饮食疗法。因此通过选用含脂肪比例高，蛋白质和碳水化合物比例低的饮食配方，使体内产生酮体，以模拟身体对饥饿的反应来治疗癫痫等疾病。对于药物难以控制的癫痫，可考虑试行生酮饮食治疗，家属必须严格在有条件的癫痫病专业医疗机构开始治疗，并严格执行生酮饮食方案。

3、药物治疗：总的原则是：用药早、剂量足、服药准、疗程长。一旦癫痫病诊断确立后，立即服药，控制发作。剂量足够控制癫痫病不发作、且不出现药物毒性反应为准，必要时可进行血药浓度检查。根据不同的癫痫病类型，或综合症确定药物选择。一般停止发作2年以上，方可停药。
