①小发作。可表现为两种情况：肌阵挛小发作：上肢、颈部、面部、躯发生短促的肌阵挛。失神小发作：突然两眼凝视或上翻，楞神，持物掉地，活动、语言中断，呼之不应，约数十秒钟。

②大发作。病人突发意识丧失、跌倒有时大叫一声、口吐白沫、呼吸暂停、全身强直性抽搐、唇舌咬破，大小便失禁。5-10分钟恢复。

③精神运动性发作。类似失神小发作，但持续1分钟以上。或出现多种幻觉、错觉、无意识的动作，如咀嚼、吸吮、脱衣、咂嘴、解纽扣等。

④局限性发作。一侧眼睑、口角、足趾、手指或一侧面部及肢体末端短阵性抽搐或麻木刺痛。抽搐有时可由手指至上肢扩展到对侧。
