3、患儿抽搐停止后，要过几分钟、几十分钟甚至几个小时才能恢复正常。在这段时间里，家长可给患儿更换被汗液、尿液浸湿的衣裤，并给其换个舒适的环境，让其安静入睡。有一些患儿在这段时间里会处于一种朦胧状态，甚至会出现一些无目的的冲动、自伤、伤人、毁物等狂躁性行为，家长对这些患儿应严格看护。

4、密切观察患儿的病情，详细记录患儿病情发作时的情况。当患儿连续数次出现羊癫疯大发作，并且一直不能恢复神志时，应及时将其送到医院抢救，以免延误病情，发生意外。

5、家长需要注意的是，患儿羊癫疯发作时，家长不要急于给其灌药，以免发生吸入性肺炎或窒息死亡的严重后果
