二、年龄因素：年龄对癫痫的发病率发作类型病因和预后均有影响，癫痫的初发年龄6%～8%在2岁以前新生儿正常呈移动性部分性发作6个月到5岁，热性惊厥多见儿童良性中央-颞棘波灶癫痫多在4～1岁开始，青春期后自愈成年期多为部分性发作或继发性，全身性发作病因方面婴儿期首次发作者多为脑器质性，特别是围产前期疾病其后至2岁以前开始发作者常为原发性者青年至成年，则颅脑外伤是一重要原因中年期后颅脑肿瘤为多老年者以脑血管病占首位。

三、觉醒因素：有些全身强直-阵挛性发作患者多在晨醒后及傍晚时发作称觉醒癫痫;有的则多在睡入后和觉醒前发作称睡眠癫痫;觉醒及睡眠时均有发作者称不定期癫痫后者多为症状性癫痫婴儿痉亦常在入睡前和睡醒后发作失神发作多为觉醒期发作晚上发作要注意不要睡在较高的床上防止从床上摔下受伤

四、内分泌因素：性腺功能改变对癫痫有一定影响，全身强直-阵发挛性发作及部分性发作常在月经初潮期发病，有的在经前或经期发作加频或加剧少数仅在经前期或经期中发作者，称经期性癫痫妊娠可使癫痫发作次数增加症状加重或仅在妊娠期发作后者称妊娠癫痫。
