5、定期复诊

抗青少年癫痫治疗整个过程应在医生指导下进行，切忌病人乱投医。为了观察药物治疗效果及不良反应，指导病人合理用药，应定期复诊以进行体格检查和必要的实验检查。抗青少年癫痫开始治疗1-2个月应每周复诊一次，3个月以后可每月复诊1次。每次复诊应携带诊疗卡或病历，以供医生参考。

6、戒除烟酒

烟酒均能诱发青少年癫痫，尤其是饮酒害处更大，慢性酒精中毒可引起大脑皮层结构和功能改变，从而使青少年癫痫发作。长期饮酒成瘾者突然戒酒也可引起青少年癫痫发作。酒精还可加速抗青少年癫痫药物的代谢，降低血浓度而降低疗效。因此，青少年癫痫病人应禁饮一切酒类和含酒精的饮料。
