另外，为了使癫痫病的治疗效果得以巩固，在饮食上应该做的谨慎。研究结果表明，癫痫严重发作或频繁发作期闹，会使神经兴奋性增高，容易发生碱中毒或血钙降低，所以应该补充锌钙丰富的食物，钙能镇静中枢神经系统、抑制神经细胞的兴奋性。
