要实在是没有办法选择口服避孕药物，要注意不要跟甘酶诱导剂之间产生影响，尽量不要采用有甘酶诱导剂的抗癫痫病药物，事先要做避孕药浓度的检测，这样才能保证避孕成功，否则可能会造成避孕失败因为癫痫病发作和抗癫痫病药都会对胎儿产生较严重的影响，因此，女性癫痫病患者选择合适的怀孕时机是很重要的。也因此，很多情况下，女性癫痫病患者需要进行避孕，现在的避孕方式主要有两种，一种是口服药物避孕，一种是工具避孕。女性癫痫患者避孕工具避孕是最佳选择。
