1、防止患者咬伤，癫痫患者在发作的时候很容易咬伤舌头，这时千万不要把手指塞进病人口内，否则会咬伤你的手指。在病人张开口时，塞一块手巾或毛巾在病人上下牙间，防止病人咬伤舌头。

2、不要塞物体到患者口中，禁止往患者口中塞入任何东西，有些人为防止患者咬伤舌头而强行往患者口中塞入木筷、勺子等东西，可能导致患者牙齿断裂、松动，如果患者佩戴假牙，强行撬开病人紧闭的嘴还可能导致假牙脱落而误入呼吸道。

3、不能进行人工呼吸，当癫痫患者发生强直时，不要做口对口人工呼吸，由于呼吸肌及腹部肌肉的强直，病人发生呼吸暂停，面唇可能青紫，此时做口对口的人工呼吸不能使空气吹入病人肺中，也不要用指甲过分卡掐人中，以免造成局部组织损伤。癫痫患者发生强直如何护理请点击免费在线咨询

4、不能强行制止癫痫发作，不要用手硬按病人的手足，这样不可能减少发作的强度。有时还可能由于用力不当，造成病人软组织损伤或骨折。限制发作，在患者抽搐时，不要用力按压或试图使患者抽搐的肢体恢复平直，以免造成韧带撕裂、关节脱臼、甚至骨折等损伤。
